BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S Performance Ratings

Before we begin to review this tire’s performance in different categories, a word about these scores’ reliability is in order. When a tire is new to the market or has only a few thousand reported miles on it, rating figures are not very meaningful as they can vary rapidly over time.

Fortunately, that is not the case with g-Force COMP-2 A/S tires, as they have nearly 10 million reported miles and nearly 1,000 verified user reviews. Simply put, you can rest assured that the scores we are about to analyze are quite dependable.

Even so, you may have already done your own research and want to jump to a particular section. In that case, feel free to click on any of the links below to go directly to any of the categories.

Steering Response

Undoubtedly the most important category for tires within the Ultra-High Performance All-Season tires segment is their dry performance. In that sense, the overall score of 9.2 is quite good compared to the 9.4 of the category leader, the g-Force COMP-2 A/S PLUS, also made by BFGoodrich.

If you need ultra-high performance tires at a reasonable price, this tire will not disappoint.

When it comes to sports cars, one of the most important safety aspects has to do with the tires’ ability to maintain traction on wet roads, as well as their hydroplaning resistance.

In this regard, these tires offer an average level of wet performance that makes them a good alternative for vehicles with moderate power (up to 350hp).

While these tires do not excel in this category, they provide an adequate level of traction to maintain control in wet road conditions.

BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S Snow / Ice Performance

Snow / Ice Performance Ratings

Snow / Ice Overall

Light Snow Traction

Deep Snow Traction: 6.9 Ice Traction

Although these tires belong to the All-Season segment, no one expects them to perform well on snow or ice. However, with a traction score in light snow of 7.8 and deep snow of 6.9, these tires prove that they are relatively competent even during the harshest winters.

If you live in an area where roads are often covered with snow or ice during the winter, these tires may provide enough traction to travel at moderate speeds.

BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S Comfort Performance

Comfort Performance Ratings

Overall Comfort

Ride Quality

The overall comfort performance score of 8.0 clearly indicates a weakness of these tires in terms of driving experience. Although the aggressive V-shaped directional tread pattern of these tires gives them good hydroplane resistance, they generate above-average noise levels for this segment.

If you drive a luxury sport sedan and value tires’ comfort with low noise levels and excellent ride quality, then this product may not be the ideal choice.

BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S Treadwear Performance

Treadwear Performance Ratings

Here we come to another aspect where these wheels have not been able to keep up with the rest of their competitors in the segment. In this case, the tires’ durability has been affected by both the tread design and BFGoodrich’s high grip materials.

While BFGoodrich’s UltiGrip Technology gives these tires enormous handling advantages, it comes at the expense of comfort and longevity.
